Found dead on the street in Pavia, friend arrested

PAVIA, 06 MAY – After a long interrogation in the Pavia carabinieri barracks, Fausto Baiguera was arrested in the late afternoon today, the 69-year-old man accused of the voluntary murder of Julio Antonio Rosario Santos, 36 years old, originally from the Republic Dominican. Already this morning in his home the pensioner had said that he had hit his friend, who lived with him, causing his death, and that he had then dragged the body out of the house in Viale Cremona, in a peripheral area of ​​the city. The body was found around five this morning by some passers-by on the sidewalk in front of the house. The checks carried out today by the Carabinieri of the scientific department in the 69-year-old’s house made it possible to find confirmation of the story provided by Baiguera, who was arrested and taken to the Torre del Gallo prison. The reasons for the pensioner’s attack on his friend now remain to be established. From initial investigations it seems that a violent argument broke out between the two during the night.
