Tomorrow, April 27, it will be 42 years since that tragic morning, when the Red Brigades, with an “infamous pact” with the Camorra, killed Raffaele Delcogliano and Aldo Iermano in Naples. The Provincial Coordination of Free Beneventoafter the award ceremony of the eighth edition of the Literary Artistic Prize, in memory of Delcogliano And Iermanoheld last April 23rd, for tomorrow April 27th, organized a program of initiatives to remember the sacrifice of our two fellow citizens.
“A flower for Aldo and Raffaele” will open tomorrow, at 09:00, with the first laying of flowers at the commemorative stele in the municipal villa. Throughout the day, you can pay homage to the memory of Delcogliano and Iermano with a flower, near the aforementioned stele. This is the invitation that Libera Benevento addresses to all institutions, associations, organizations, movements, schools and citizens. A simple gesture, but profoundly rich in meaning and gratitude. At 4.30pmstill near the commemorative stele, there will be a moment dedicated to children, shared readings by ‘Born to Read. At 5.00 pm the students of the ITI Lucarelli of Benevento – Libera “Delcogliano – Iermano” school will bear their testimony of civic commitment. Flowers and thoughts will characterize the students’ tribute.
At 7:00 pm, at the Parish of SS. Addolorata – Rione Libertà – a Holy Mass will be celebrated in memory of Raffaele and Aldo. The following day, April 28, at 7.15pm the appointment will be with the parish community of Santa Maria degli Angeli. In particular in the adjacent Garden of Memory, for a moment of reflection in the place where trees planted in memory of the innocent victims of the mafias in our area stand.
