The “correct quantification of financial corrections”, we read in ‘La Sicilia’, amounts to 8.2 million. # In practice, #the Region first loses #the money already paid to hoteliers, travel agencies #and tour operators. # This is 4 million euros of unused vouchers (almost 60 thousand out of #the over 100 thousand paid for overnight stays), to which is added a linear adjustment of 10% (314 thousand euros) on #the vouchers used by tourists. # Similar mechanism for excursions #and ancillary services: 3.2 million of ineligible expenditure, of which more than 3 million correspond to non-vouchers #and 186 thousand euros to a 10% cut on #the services actually performed. # But #the accusation also concerns 2.5 million destined for communication #and promotion services, i.e. a tributary of #the great #scandal which, through three separate resolutions, saw an increase in #the ceiling for #the government’s “electoral showcases” (in railway stations, airports #and especially on TV #and in newspapers), from 4.8 to 23.8 million. # With a large dispensation in favor of #the large publishing groups: from Cairo to Publitalia, passing through Raicom.
