On the day of Liberation Day, three series played in A1 Softball ended with one victory each, including the long-awaited ducal derby between Pubbliservice Old Parma and Bertazzoni Collecchio.

In game 1 of the Parma derby Collecchio took the lead in the early stages and never relinquished it, also thanks to an excellent Alessia Melegari on the pitching platform (6.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 4 BB, 8 K) which slows down Old Parma’s lineup. Collecchio’s attack scored one point per inning in the first three rounds against Lucrezia Morettithanks to the singles of Marsteller And Severiniin addition to the point scored by Scarna Casaccio on a defensive error. In the fourth inning he tries to make up for it under Old Parma, with the double of Giulia Fattori which puts the yellow-blues on the scoreboard, but a double of Jensen Main a little later he re-established the three-point gap between the two teams. Collecchio reserves the KO blow for the sixth attack: six points scored by the blue and whites on that occasion thanks toinside-the-park home run Of Khady Sy (3 RBI) and hits by Main and Severini (3 RBI overall). Race 1 ends 10-1 in favor of Collecchio after six rounds.

In game 2 comes the long-awaited first victory of the season for Old Parma, at the end of a match dominated by the two pitchers, Jensen Main for Collecchio and Tyneesha Houkamau for Old Parma, who in total conceded only six hits to the two attacks and were the protagonists of 18 strikeouts (9 each). Immediately unlock the score the home team, with Factorswho entered as a temporary runner in place of her pitcher, who flies to the point on the double of Chiara Mengoli. Collecchio equalized in the third inning, thanks to the hit by pitch with the bases loaded received by Main, but with the bases loaded the guests were unable to capitalize further on that circumstance and in the fourth quarter Old Parma put their heads back again with a double, this time signed by Valentina Tagliavini. Collecchio tries to tie the game at the last gasp in the seventh, bringing a runner to third base with one out, but Old Parma’s New Zealand pitcher is cold in the key moment and gives her team the victory by 2-1.
