SICILY – Everything is ready in Sicily For the permanent hiring of ASU staff within public bodies. The regional labor department has released a circular detailed that clarifies the requirements and the mode of hiring. It is specified that socially useful workers included in the regional list can be hired through a public selection, with permanent contracts.
Currently, the bodies authorized to hire the approximately three thousand workers are the local authorities (Municipalities, Free municipal consortia, Metropolitan cities), the Provincial health authorities and the Hospital companies. The regional administration and its bodies are excluded from this possibility.
The procedures for hiring ASU staff in public bodies are underway in Sicily
The contribution allocated to the institutions for each stabilized ASU worker can reach a maximum of 19,180 euros gross per year, including all charges, taxes and social security/insurance contributions.
The entities must communicate to the regional Department of Labor, at least 30 days before the presumed hiring date, the number of workers to be stabilized and the estimate of expected expenses until the end of the year.
Applications must be submitted by September 15 of the year of hire. Requests submitted after this date, but eligible, may be financed starting from January 1st of the following year.
In subsequent years, entities must communicate the lists of workers hired/employed and the expenditure incurred in the previous year by January 31st. By March 31st of each year, they must communicate the lists of workers already stabilized and eligible for the contribution, with the personal details and expenses expected for the current year.
