Bitonto renews his promise of anti-fascism

Bitonto is anti-fascist and draws inspiration, in his political life, from the values of the Resistance. Yesterday, 25 April, the city institutions, the arms associations, the Local Police Corps, the ANPI section, the representatives of the world of schools and trade unions celebrated the Liberation Day from Nazi-Fascism.

After moving from Palazzo Gentile, the procession, led by the mayor Francesco Paolo Ricci, reached the Villa Comunale for a floral tribute to the memorial stone of the fallen. The interventions of the mayor himself and of Antonella De Napoli of the ANPI section named after Carla Nespolo, reiterated, once again, the need to reinvigorate those values for which so many died during the Second World War.

The events of the week leading up to April 25th, which began last Saturday with the display of the ANPI banners at Palazzo Gentile, were organized by the local ANPI section “Carla Nespolo” with the patronage of the Municipality of Bitonto and in collaboration with the ARCI “Resilienza” club and the Theater Bookshop.
