An extension for the work on Villa Augusta in Varese

Work continues on the historic Villa Augusta, in the Giubiano district of Varese, which will become the headquarters of both the educational services department and the social services department.

The executive project for the restoration of the villa involves a total expense of 922,283.70 euros, the contract for the renovation was awarded to IMGSRL, with a contractual amount of 534,655.25 euros and the contract was formalized on 13 July 2023. The contracting company, which has been working for months now, has however encountered significant obstacles, including the need for stratigraphy requested by the Superintendence and difficulties in procuring materials: these complexities have led to the request for a 40 day extension to adequately complete the project.

The municipal administration has decided to grant this extension, extending the deadline for completing the works to 10 June 2024. However, the postponement of the deadline will not have negative impacts on the financing or on the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), ensuring that the works proceed without compromising the expected financial aid.
