Brunetti Castel Goffredo conquers Bolzano and claims their 21st championship

In the fourth set the Ukrainian accelerated to 7-3 from 3-3, from 9-5 she was tied (9-9) and took the two final points, postponing the solution to the “beautiful” one. In the decisive phase the gap widened in favor of the Romanian (6-1), who reached the finish line without any worries.

Monfardini and Szocs played a very balanced first half, in which the local champion failed to score five set-points and the Romanian in the second half prevailed, taking the lead to easily lead the second half and at 10-5 to close it on the third ball useful. After the change of ends Szocs had to chase from 5-2 (5-6) and from 6-6 he led on 8-6. He had three match points and at the first he gave Brunetti the victory.

The return match will be played on Saturday at 4pm at the Pala Tennistavolo “Elia Mazzi” in Castel Goffredo and a draw will be enough for the reigning champions to secure the Italian title.
