Sanremo. The procession for the Liberation Day from Nazi-fascism peacefully invades the streets of the city center. The city of flowers celebrates a 25 April who asks for peace in a world that seems to have forgotten this word.

The parade, which was attended by military associations, representatives of the Army and law enforcement, Anpi and municipal administrators, started with the “Città di Sanremo” band in the lead from Piazza Borea d’Olmo and then paraded along Via Matteotti and Corso Mombello, where there was a stop at the Monument to the Fallen of the First World War, at the Monument to the Fallen of Kefalonia and to the IMI plaque.

The ceremony he continued in front of the Resistance Monument, Gino Napolitano Gardens, with the laying of the laurel wreath and the prayer for peace. From the Pian di Nave stage they spoke Amelia Narciso of Anpi, the councilor Silvana Ormea. Then the professor’s oration Gino Anfosso, teacher, writer, son of the partisan Leo Anfosso.

The latter reiterated the valuesthe of anti-fascism and the need for peace, especially due to the dramatic situation of Ukraine invaded by Russia and the tormented Gaza strip, with the ongoing conflict between Israelis and Palestinians. The ceremony ended with readings on the theme of the Resistance by the members of the Anpi section G. Cristiano Pesavento.
