On Monday 29 April at 4.00 pm the Carnicella Hall will host the new session of the Molfetta City Council: excluding the items on the agenda, it will be a crucial meeting to evaluate the stability of the Minervini majority following the declarations of independence of Councilors Lanza and Petruzzelli compared to the “Together for the city” group in which almost all of those elected on the lists in support of the mayor converged.

“We would like to clarify – Lanza and Petruzzelli communicated – that there is nothing personal towards anyone. We will make further assessments in the next few days without ever lacking our commitment to the City”: what does that mean? It will be necessary to understand the value that the two councilors will give to the word “independence” and that is, transition to the opposition or evaluation of each individual voting proposal? An answer on which dynamics and stability within the highest local council could depend.

However, the accounts should return to the majority to continue their mandate: in fact, the friction with the “Molfetta Popolare” group to which the President of the City Council Robert Amato and the city councilor Maridda Poli belong would have been resolved. The testimony would be in the progress of the last session in which “We voted – explained the group in a note – favorably on the points examined as there was the listening to our proposals hoped for in the past, proposals accepted on the merits. We therefore applaud the overall work carried out by the offices and commissions, which took place with the aim of improving our city in terms of the environment”.
