LATINA – Following detailed investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Latina, the Carabinieri of the Latina station arrested a twenty-five-year-old local man for the crime of aggravated sexual assault on a minor. The Carabinieri’s investigations originated following a complaint from the victim, who reported to the military how, after reaching Piazzale dei Bonifieri and starting to shoot video content for her social page, she was joined by the young man who, catching her at shoulders, first groped her and then put his hand in her trousers.
To the resistance of the victim, who attempted to move away, the man grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him, putting his hand under her shirt in an attempt to grope her again, addressing her with vulgar appreciation. Only the victim’s screams, which brought other young people present at the scene of the events closer, made the man abandon his intentions and walk away, losing track of himself. The immediate investigations by the Carabinieri made it possible to identify the perpetrator of the crime against whom, in consideration of all the elements collected, at the end of the investigation, the Judicial Authority issued a precautionary custody order under house arrest, carried out this morning.
The one in question is a serious and delicate episode of aggravated sexual violence on a minor, a very serious situation that the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Latina were able to deal with thanks to their continuous presence in the area and the trust placed by the victim in the work of the Carabinieri and the Judiciary .
