CDA Talmassons FVG completes the feat against Busto Arsizio in a sold out Latisana Sports Hall and achieves a historic promotion to Serie A1.

First set that gives an idea of the great quality on the pitch for this final. Busto Arsizio started slightly better and found the first advantages but the CDA reacted promptly bringing the result to a draw, 12-12. The guests extend their lead further to 13-17 with a parallel from Zanette. Busto Arsizio maintains the four-point lead until 19-23. However, CDA once again shows its character and cancels two set points at 22-24 and after an epic battle for the advantages wins the first set 31-29.
In the second set the CDA leads the way, galvanized by the comeback in the first set. The decisive extension comes when the home team leads 17-13. The pink panthers hold the field very well, making the most of their block. Piomboni finds the point of 24-20 for the set point which then ends at 25-20.
The third set, as happened in game 1, is a Friulian domain. Coach Barbieri’s girls move ahead by six points with Hardeman (18-12). At this point, CDA Talmassons pushes as they see the finish line and, led by the American, flies until they score 7 match points. Closing the ball is Leah Hardeman who gets the promotion party started.
It is the apotheosis of a path of constant growth for Leonardo Barbieri’s girls and for the company of patron Ambrogio Cattelan. At the end of the race, the president himself commented on the historic achievement as follows: “We cry with joy and continue to cry. We really believed in it because in the last few games our girls, even though they were very young, gave something more than the others. Let’s move forward and with great enthusiasm we will face the A1 with an even greater spirit and ready to move forward.”
CDA Talmassons therefore officially writes history, becoming the first Friulian team to reach the top flight of women’s volleyball. A masterpiece created by a company that celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, obtaining the best possible gift for itself and for all the fans who, especially this season, have never failed to support the Pink Panthers. Now the dream is officially reality.
