Zola Jesus live in Italy for two summer dates

Zola Jesus will perform in Italy in September. Two live events are scheduled for the American dark muse: Thursday 12th at Parco del Baraccano in Bologna and Friday 13th at Spazio Teatro 89 in Milan.
Nika Roza Danilova will appear accompanied only by the piano and will perform songs from her most recent album “Arkhon” – released in May 2022 – as well as classics from her past repertoire.
Tickets for the Lombard live show are already available on Dice.fm at the price of 25.50 euros.

Native of Phoenix, Arizona, but of Slovenian, Russian and Ukrainian origins, Zola Jesus is the queen of “lo-fi goth”, an alienating, low-fidelity mix of updated (no-)wave, industrial detritus and gothic perversions. A voice born from an electric darkness. A priestess with heavy make-up à la Chelsea Wolfe, who rose from the tombs of Siouxsie, Lydia Lunch and the Cocteau Twins to pronounce words that are sometimes awkward and metallic, sometimes shrouded in a strange candor. She was among the initiators of the so-called scene moan wave (as it was called in honor of the characteristic plaintive tone of the vocals). Since the debut “New Amsterdam” (Sacred Bones, 2009), through epic records such as “The Spoils” (Sacred Bones, 2009), “Stridulum” (Sacred Bones, 2010) and “Conatus” (Sacred Bones, 2011), Nika Roza Danilova has established herself as one of the reference female figures of the new millennium.
