“Following a discussion that took place in the last few hours with Michele Laforgia, we shared and took note of the position expressed by the two candidates. A proposal that we support.” This is what Leonardo Donno, M5S deputy and regional coordinator of Puglia, Mario Turco, senator and vice-president of M5S, Raimondo Innamorato, provincial coordinator of M5S Bari, speak in this way in reference to the choice of the two centre-left candidates to run independently for the next administrative elections of Bari. “From the beginning the 5 Star Movement has worked to unify the progressive coalition to reach a shared synthesis – they say – We have always supported the need for renewal, also because what has happened in recent weeks cannot be ignored. We have always been convinced that Laforgia could represent the best choice and we hoped until the end that there would be a unified convergence on his name. Now, however, the time has come to look forward, which is why we have reiterated our full support for Laforgia. “To maintain the unity of the progressive coalition – the representatives of the Movement continue – it is appropriate to start a table in the next few hours to define with the candidates and all the other forces in the field the Pact for legality and unity for Bari, to share together the rules and conditions already announced by the two candidates”.
