In recent days, personnel from the Flying Squad of the Corigliano-Rossano PS Police Station, within the urban area of ​​Corigliano, arrested a 38-year-old who, at the height of yet another argument with his parents, attacked his mother, threatening her with his neck of a glass bottle.

The man, burdened by a police record for crimes against the person, taken by a strong state of agitation and anger, regardless of the presence of the officers who intervened immediately to help the woman, continued to threaten the mother, resisting them policemen.

After containing the man, medical personnel from 118 were brought to the scene to provide the necessary care to the elderly woman.

Subsequently, at the Police Offices of the PS Commissariat the subject reiterated the violent and threatening conduct and was arrested for the crimes of mistreatment and resistance to a Public Official and at the end of the formalities, taken to the Castrovillari prison in disposition of the Judicial Authority.

At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office of Castrovillari directed by the Prosecutor Dr. Alessandro D’Alessio, he was notified of an Order with which the GIP of the Court of Castrovillari ordered the measure of precautionary custody in prison.

All this is communicated in compliance with the rights of the suspect (to be considered presumed innocent in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence) in order to guarantee the right to freedom of the press.
