Gela: Memorial Park, 400 visitors

Authentic success for an event prepared only two days before, choosing a day on which entry would have been free, a sign that the evocative places visited have a great evocative character. The visit to the Parco delle Rimembranze was welcomed by the citizens. More than 400 tickets were sold and quickly sold out. At the entrance the public was greeted with a welcome greeting on a sunny day: free brochures on the museum and the acropolis were distributed.

At the end of the visit everyone said the same thing: “A beautiful return to the past, an enchanting place for the archaeological remains, it’s a shame that the place was not taken care of.” And everyone, absolutely everyone, asked and also with regret, in the memory of times gone by: when will the museum reopen?
It was certainly an unforgettable day: that’s what all the visitors said. Many buses of tourists coming from every part of the island. Given the notable success, the initiative will be repeated but in improved conditions.
