MASSA – The municipal councilor Simone Ortori thanks the mayor of Massa Persiani, the Public Works sector of the Municipality and the Municipal Police, «for the maintenance and safety intervention just completed on the slope above the Storm Tunnel in Massa, the road used by numerous people, serving both the hilly hamlets of Massa and those of Montignoso”.
«In detail, work was carried out on land owned by the municipality which had several trees in an absolutely dangerous position for all road users. The safe removal of material that could fall onto the road was carried out. It is also necessary to remember the interest of the president of the Province of Massa-Carrara Lorenzetti and the provincial councilor Camera who immediately took action regarding their competences on the rest of the aspect, the details of which will be provided in the coming days by the provincial administration. Certainly there remain many open critical issues, from the point of view of mitigating hydrogeological risk, but signals such as these demonstrate the attention of local authorities for this important issue”.
