VILLANOVA MARCHESANA (Rovigo) – Two waste vandals caught in a few days by the mobile camera traps supplied to the Associated Local Police of the Middle Polesine. This is the important result achieved in terms of combating rubbish dumping, an unfortunately extremely current phenomenon. This is not the only good news, however: in fact, at least three fixed stations will soon be created in the territory of the Municipalities of the agreement, in addition to the portable camera traps, capable of detecting incidents of this type, enabling staff to intervene immediately.
Important technological equipment which, therefore, proves to be fundamental in the fight against illegality. Instrumentation that it was possible to acquire, just as it was possible to train staff in its use, thanks to the associated nature of the service, which allows the sharing of resources and the creation of important economies of scale.
What also makes the difference is the great knowledge of the territory of the women and men of the local police who are busy on the road every day: in fact, their choice to position the portable camera trap in Canalnovo area made the difference, allowing us to identify two people responsible for the abandonment.
For them, now, the consequences will be serious: in fact, reporting is also expected, as this behavior has recently become of criminal importance.
It is therefore increasingly difficult for behaviors of this type to go unpunished. Fortunately.
