“Opera #recital #large #community project”.
The Opera Recital is part of the numerous events of the inclusion project called: “Great Community. # Music as social infrastructure”, that the Teatro Grande Foundation organizes in places not usually accessible to the public because they are linked to fragile situations of the guests of the structures. # It will therefore be an opportunity to open this important project to everyone.
Music as a social infrastructure, promoted by the Teatro Grande Foundation, returns to unite the places of culture #and those of solidarity through a new musical event.
Tuesday 30 April the #Church of SS. # #Cosma e #Damiano will host, at 3.30 pm, a fascinating opera #recital with some of the most famous opera arias. # Participation in the concert will be open to guests of the residence House of God, partner of Foundation of the Teatro Grande in the realization of the event, as well as to all citizens who wish to participate, until places are filled.
Built starting from the fourteenth century between the Bassiche district #and via Cairoli, the #Church of SS. # #Cosma e #Damiano hosts important works of art, including two canvases by Luca Mombello, one by Giambettino Cignaroli #and the precious ark of San Titian, a sixteenth-century masterpiece of Brescian sculpture. # Attached to the church, the ancient fifteenth-century Benedictine monastery still stands today.
Thanks to the project Great Community over the years, the Teatro Grande has activated, through music #and culture, a widespread #and permanent presence of a reticular nature in the #Brescia area, distributing opportunities for celebration, reflection #and participation both within its own spaces #and in the city places of care, solidarity #and hardship, without differentiating the quality #and depth of the artistic proposal,
indeed affirming the meeting, equality #and cohesion of a #community in the face of the beauty of art.
Thus, through music, the project Great Community brings moments of joy #and serenity to hospitals, psychiatric residences, centers for the elderly, nursing homes, migrant centers #and social assistance centers, prisons, soup kitchens, centers for victims of violence, etc.
Where possible, these places – usually not accessible to citizens – are open to all to encourage meeting, equality #and #community cohesion in the face of the beauty of art.

The appointment on April 30th will represent the opportunity to open this important project #and make it known to all those who will participate. # The Opera recital will feature the voices of mezzo-soprano Giulia Alletto #and tenor Simone Fenotti, accompanied on the piano by Maestro Marco Brunelli. # The program includes some of the most famous arias taken from the masterpieces of Charles Gounod, Gioachino Rossini, Vincenzo Bellini, Pietro Mascagni, Camille Saint-Saens, Franz Lehar, but also compositions by Sergej Rachmaninov, William Gomez #and Cesare Andrea Bixio.
Entrance to the concert is free while available seats last #and takes place from Via Fratelli Cairoli, 23.
