The appointment of the CSM arrived on 24 April, since August 2022 the seat in via Terme di Traiano was vacant
The current chief prosecutor of Terni, Alberto Liguori, will lead the public prosecutor’s office of Civitavecchia.
The appointment came on 24 April from the plenum of the CSM, which approved – with 9 abstentions – the resolution proposed by the Board of Directors.
Liguori, in the judiciary since 1991, began his career as a prosecutor in Enna and then in Cosenza. Appointed president of the Catanzaro supervisory court in 2008, Liguori spent a period out of office because he was elected to the CSM.
In December 2014 he returned to his role as prosecutor in Rome and from 2016 to today he has held the position of chief prosecutor in Terni.
The Civitavecchia prosecutor’s office had been without a head since August 2022 when former prosecutor Andrea Vardaro retired.
