The video of the motorist in the Galleria Vittoria at 170 km per hour. The complaint from Francesco Borrelli (Avs): “They are unconscious, their license must be withdrawn”

In a large-engined car he runs at 170 kilometers per hour in the Vittoria Gallery of Naples, where the limit of 30 km per hour applies. The video published on TikTok infuriates the parliamentarian Francesco Emilio Borrelli (Green Left Alliance), who published the images: “The bitter fate of so many deaths on the road teaches us nothing. Anyone who runs that fast should have their license withdrawn.” The video in question was reported to the deputy and comes a few days after the tragic death of Michele Angelillo, a 36-year-old hit by a car while riding his scooter through the Lazio tunnel.

Francesco Borrelli’s complaint: “They are unconscious”

Borrelli has been fighting for years to put a stop to road deaths. Several citizens reported to the deputy the video, found online, of a person driving a large car driving at full speed through the Galleria Vittoria and via Chiatamone.

The environmentalist parliamentarian commented as follows:

Accident on the ring road in Naples, huge collision in the Vomero tunnel: 11 injured, one seriously. Queues for 6 km

“At almost 200km/h he starts zigzagging between scooters and cars, all on city streets that have speed limits of up to 30 kilometers per hour. Not happy with the stunt, the subject filmed himself driving, with only one hand on the flying, and posted everything on his social networks. The video comes a few days after the tragic death of Michele Angelillo, a 36-year-old hit by a car while he was traveling through the Lazio tunnel on his scooter.”

Then he added:

“With the images posted as a trophy, the protagonist celebrates his profound ignorance. The bitter fate of the many deaths on the roads and the innocent victims of reckless driving have taught us nothing. I am appalled by such recklessness, irresponsibility and perseverance. These people should have their licenses stripped for life. The videos on social media are useful to the postal police in tracing traffic pirates, so as to track them down and sanction them with extreme severity. It is unacceptable to allow such behavior, especially after the many deaths we have had to mourn in the streets of Naples, such as poor Elvira Zibra, hit by a scooter doing wheelies in via Caracciolo, or the very recent case of Michele Angelillo, run over while he was going through a tunnel, the Lazio one. We need to put an end to the slaughter that takes place on our streets every day and it is certainly not with the wicked rules of the new highway code that we will obtain concrete results.”
