Prolonged applause at the Municipal Theater of Sassari. Maestro Massimo Quarta gives two encores amid the enthusiasm of the warm audience

The first one was good, or rather excellent. The debut of the 2024 symphony season ofMarialisa De Carolis Concert Authority it is consumed in a splendid evening, Wednesday 24 October, at the Theatre Municipality of Sassari with the inaugural concert of the organisation’s orchestra, conducted by Maestro Massimo Quarta.

The musician, winner of numerous competitions, second Italian after the Master Salvatore Accardoawarded in 1991 the coveted Paganini Prize of Genoahas enchanted the audience and gallery since extraordinary interpreter of the international violin tradition.

The program continued with The Palpiti op. 13 by Paganini.

The second part of the concert involved Quarta in the orchestral direction.

The inspiration with all the members of the De Carolis Orchestra gave life to a passionate and engaging reading of Mozart’s scores.

There Symphony No. 40 in G m K 550 by Mozart revealed this manifest musical understanding.

It will be the same Massimo Quarta which will return to the Municipal stage on May 4th to conduct the organisation’s orchestra in a program dedicated to the music of Tchaikovsky (Symphony No. 4 in F minor op. 36 and Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D Major, Op. 35).
