In Taranto the concert One free and thinking May

In support of freedom and against the fear of being free in a dark period where “those who oppose are censored or beaten”. This is how the organizers describe the concert that will be held in Taranto on May 1st in its 11th edition, Uno Maggio Libero e Pensante. The appointment is at the archaeological park of the Greek Walls, for a day of music and reflections.

The event, organized by the Free and Thinking Citizens and Workers Committee since 2013 and created to make the environmental situation of the Ionian capital which hosts the steel industry even more evident, this year intends to shout out the importance of respecting the rights of the person: from work to that of expression, without forgetting that of health, with a close and threatened “tomorrow” of future generations.

“In a dark moment like the one we are experiencing, Uno Maggio Taranto wants to be more than ever a cry of resistance, civic presence, closeness to the movements that fight every day”, declare the artistic directors Antonio Diodato, Roy Paci and Michele Riondinowho believe “strongly in the power that music has to amplify messages and knowledge”.

The journalist will once again be at the helm of the concert Valentina Petrini and the actor Andrea Riveranext to Martina Martorano And Serena Tarabini. Among the artists who will perform on stage: Brunori Sas, Serena Brancale, Cristiano Cosa, Valerio Lundini And I VazzaNikki, Mannarino, Marlene Kuntz And Francesca Michielin, in addition to the winners of the Musica ControLeMafie contest, i Malvax. The Uno Maggio Orchestra will also be there and the testimonies of professionals and activists will also take part in the great event.
