GIRO D’ITALIA, THE ENDLESS TROPHY ON DISPLAY IN TURIN
In the Galleria San Federico in Turin, the arrival city of the first stage of the Giro d’Italia, the Trofeo Senza Fine is displayed together with the countdown to the event. It can be admired until May 4th. Piedmont will host the Grande Partenza of the Giro d’Italia for the fourth time. The previous ones are dated 1961, 2011 and 2021. Furthermore, on May 4th, the inaugural stage will pay homage to the Invincibles of Grande Torino with the passage from Superga 75 years after the tragedy.
THE GIRO D’ITALIA STARTS FROM TURIN
“It will be the great celebration of Turin, Venaria, San Francesco al Campo, Novara, Fossano, Aqui Terme, and of course Oropa, for the Great Departure of the 2024 Giro. We are Cycling, we are Mountains. The Mountain is cycling, skiing and much more to have fun defying the force of gravity. Uphill, from the green bin of the chain jump in Biella, up to the Sanctuary of the Black Madonna, finished in the whole world, with its flattening cobblestones and dome, for that mystical ascent of Pantani in May 1999. Thanks to RCS Sport and to the Piedmont Region for the investment, for having brought the start of the Giro, 45 days before the Tour. And perhaps in a few years also of the Vuelta Espana”.
