Gela celebrates April 25th, procession of authorities. Wreath laid in memory of those killed in war

This morning the city remembered April 25th with a heartfelt ceremony in which the highest local officials, law enforcement agencies, military associations and former combatants took part. Leading the solemn procession, which started from Piazza Municipio, was the deputy mayor, Mariangela Faraci, alongside her the vice-president of the city council, Paola Giudice, the councilor for Solidarity, Ugo Costa, and the councilor Virginia Farruggia. The group reached Piazza dei Martiri on foot, at Quattro Canti. The moment of contemplation observed during the ceremony was very touching, which was followed by the laying of a laurel wreath at the foot of the war memorial.
