Compliments, jokes, messages and some gifts. Thus began yet another case of harassment, this time in a high school in Ravenna. The victim, a minor student, was allegedly sexually harassed by a teacher from the same institute, who has now ended up under house arrest on charges of aggravated sexual assault. The precautionary custody order was issued by the investigating judge Andrea Galanti at the request of the prosecutor Stefano Stargiotti, motivated by the risk of repetition of the crime and carried out in recent days.

The story

The story, according to what was reconstructed by the investigators, developed at the end of 2023 when the teacher began to give the young girl compliments, jokes, messages and some gifts: in particular costume jewellery. On other occasions there would also have been sexual harassment: at least three incidents were contested. In the end, the student couldn’t bear her behavior any longer and she decided to confide in her mother, to explain why she no longer wanted to go to school. At that point the specialized section of the Mobile team started the investigations and collected the elements underlying the restrictive measure. In the warrant interrogation, the suspect made spontaneous statements and attributed the incident to misunderstandings, essentially saying that her behavior would have been misunderstanding, asking for a less afflictive measure. The judge reserved his opinion on the request. The school, unaware of everything until the house arrest was notified, offered its collaboration to the investigators to shed light on every aspect. The teacher’s cell phone was also seized by investigators to understand whether it may contain other material of evidentiary value, so as to strengthen the accusatory framework.
