Manufacturing jobs in the Marche, Cna focuses on graduates

Cna ready to invest in graduates to provide manufacturing companies in the Marche region with the staff they require. “The demand and supply of work in the Marche Region, and in particular in the province of Ancona, must find a balance to guarantee a sustainable future,” says Massimiliano Santini, director of the Cna of Ancona.

Which shows the importance of initiatives such as the Dual Project, which Cna Ancona launched with the technical institutes of Senigallia, is an example of how we can face this challenge. During the presentation of the project in recent days, over 30 companies from the Senigallia area went to the Bettino Padovano institute with concrete hiring proposals. A signal that demonstrates how companies are ready to invest in the new generations, to believe in their potential.

Labor market data

According to the Excelsior Information System Bulletin, created by Unioncamere and the Ministry of Labour, more than 446 thousand employment contracts, lasting more than one month or for an indefinite period, were scheduled by companies in April. This number rises to over 1.5 million for the April-June quarter, with a slight increase of approximately 3 thousand units compared to April 2023 (+0.7%) and a decline of over 46 thousand units on the corresponding quarter (-3.0 %).

New projects

Cna is also preparing a project to start the thermo-hydraulic profession, a rapidly growing sector with high development potential. In this project, there are 15 other companies ready to hire, ready to give a chance to those who want to undertake this profession.

Immigrant workers

The demand for immigrant workers is also significant: around 88 thousand hirings scheduled in the month, equal to 19.8% of the total. The economic sectors that have the greatest need for foreign manpower, it is specified, are those of operational support services for businesses and people (34.4% of hirings), transport, logistics and warehousing services (30.3%), construction (28.6%), metallurgy (21.2%) and wood-furniture (20.1%).

The graduates

“The economy of the Marche – continues Santini – is based on the growth in the number of graduates from technical and professional institutes. This is a fact. But we must do more. We must invest in training, we must create opportunities, we must build a future in which every young person can find their own path. I appeal to schools and families: let’s think about a future where the dignity and storytelling of manual work is recognized as much as intellectual activities. Manual labor is no less important. On the contrary, it is fundamental to our economy and our society. It is a job that requires skills, that requires passion, that requires dedication.”
