Although the Municipality of Varese, with a resolution, had denied any authorization for the holding of demonstrations in the city cemeteries on the occasion of 25 April, Liberation Day in Italy, the members of the neo-Nazi group Comunità dei Dodici Raggi (Do.Ra.) have “straightforward”, as already declared by the leader of the Nazi-fascist group based in Azzate (Varese) Alessandro Limido, quoting Benito Mussolini. This morning they visited the tombs of some exponents of the Italian Social Republic, the fascist puppet state that arose in Northern Italy after the armistice of 8 September 1943 and the liberation of Mussolini from imprisonment on the Gran Sasso by the Germans. The Varese neo-Nazis paid homage “to the comrades killed by the enemy while fighting for their homeland – said Limido himself – These are the true heroes”. Also at the initiative were Roman greetings and a banner praising the homeland.

At 9 am the militants of the Community of the Twelve Rays were at the Ganna cemetery, an hour later the approximately 30 participants in the ‘fascist April 25th’ reached the cemetery of Sant’Ambrogio di Varese where the family of a ” comrade killed by communists without trial”

At the Belforte cemetery Limido remembered “these boys who died for us, for our values. And I hear the voice of my little girl. I feel the weight of responsibility: our fallen are the heroes of the homeland. To protect us they accepted their Holocaust”. “It wasn’t a demonstration – says Limido – We went to visit our dead. And this cannot be prohibited”.

The municipality of Varese: we will report them

The municipal administration of Varese announces complaints: “We will acquire images and reports from the police forces and we will file a complaint for failure to comply with administrative measures as well as for other possible crimes. We will report – explains the Municipality of Varese in a note – also in the face of of the important ruling of the United Sections of the Supreme Court published on 17 April 2024. In this regard, the Municipality is setting up a group of criminal law experts to support the work of the police and the judiciary to reach the conviction in the courtrooms of these facts and these characters”. “The best response – concludes the administration – remains the significant participation of citizens in the country’s squares and in our city on the occasion of April 25th”.
