The proposal presented to the city council by Nino Simeone: “This way we save the costs of new competitions for the same profiles, for which they are already eligible”

The rankings of Anm and Asia competitions concluded last year, which led to hundreds of hires, are expiring in 2024. But the two companies owned by the Municipality of Naples still need staff, due to upcoming retirements. Hence, the proposal, which arrived at the Naples city council, to scroll the rankings to hire all the suitable candidates remaining with part-time permanent contracts launched by Nino Simeone (PSDI), President of the Infrastructure and Mobility Commission of the Naples City Council: “In this way – he explains – it will be possible to save the costs of a new competition for the same profiles, in which the same people who have already been found suitable would most likely participate”.

“The only feasible solution at this moment, to increase the number of people hired – explains Simeone, who presented the proposal to the Municipality – by speeding up the scrolling of the rankings of suitable candidates who are still valid, is part-time permanent hiring. this choice would not entail any increase in costs for companies, which over time could transform these contracts into full-time relationships, without risking the expiry of the rankings, and at the same time it would allow them to hire double the number of employees, which would guarantee greater number of operators in service”.

The proposal for the scrolling of the rankings

In the document requesting the scrolling of suitable rankings, we read the following text:

118 nurses competition in Naples: 4,100 candidates for 30 places. And there will be the super-ranking

the recent competitive procedures are asked to evaluate together with the trade union representatives of the category workers, the possibility of proceeding with the complete scrolling of the currently valid rankings through the signing of part-time permanent employment contracts with the commitment to transform them subsequently in full-time positions as soon as the company’s economic and financial conditions make it possible.

Then, he continues:

An initiative that does not envisage any additional spending commitment, but would allow companies to immediately proceed to hiring double the number of staff units envisaged in the three-year needs plans, in consideration of the chronic need for operational personnel in service and the excessive use by municipal companies of temporary staff, also considering the significant number of retirements that will occur in the coming months.

And he concludes:

The currently valid rankings will expire soon. In the absence of alternative solutions, in the coming years we would find ourselves having to announce new public competitions for the same profiles and with the same candidates, with consequent increases in costs for companies and the Municipality.
