The anti-fascist procession in the Emilian capital took place with the usual chants that are also heard in other cities but, in addition, Giorgia Meloni’s electoral posters for the European elections were targeted, brutally set on fire by unknown persons. “During a procession for April 25th held in Bologna, the usual suspects set fire to some photos of President Giorgia Meloni, trying to further raise the mood of contraposition which they have been spreading for some time“, he has declared Galeazzo Bignami, deputy minister of infrastructure and transport. Stop solidarity with prime minister: “In expressing solidarity with the Prime Minister, I wonder how those who say they are doing… freedom of thought its own fundamental principle, claiming to impart lessons of respect, democracy and tolerance to anyone“.
Solidarity with the prime minister also from the Fratelli d’Italia senator Marco Lisei: “The extreme left never contradicts itself and even on what should be the day dedicated to celebrating freedom, the usual ‘pacifiers’ thought it best to set fire to the image of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during the well-attended citizens’ procession.“. The senator then added: “What are the appeals to the national pacification? We ask the institutional left to condemn these gestures without ifs or buts, April 25th is a national holiday and should be experienced as such by everyone“.
Similar scenes were recorded in Caserta in recent days, where they were defaced the posters by Meloni and Tajani.
“I condemn all forms of intolerance and violence, the unity of institutions is fundamental especially in times of difficulty, respect for rights and values must be guaranteed, our country has gone through difficult times such as terrorism with unity, I hope that around these values there is unity of politics, in the conflict of politics and in respect for the institutions“, declared the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, on the sidelines of the ceremony on April 25th in Piazza Carità.
