The traditional religious festival in honor of San Francesco di Paola, organized by the Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano with the Minimi Fathers, the Religious Council and the Parish Festival Commission, which will end today, 25 April, saw alternating moments linked to worship and devotion to music and entertainment.
TODAY the grand closing of the events dedicated to San Francesco di Paola.
➖ 5pm Procession in the historic center, led by the Provincial Father Francesco Trebisonda. 5.30 pm, at Palazzo Bianchi, delivery of the keys to the city to the saint by the mayor Flavio Stasi. 7.30pm arrival at the Romitorio. 8.30pm return to the church to sing the Te deum and Bacio della Canna.
➕ In the afternoon, a moment dedicated to children and families, starting from 6.30 pm, in the atrium of Palazzo Bianchi, with the “Il mondo dei Puppettini” workshop, organized by the La Libellula association. A practical laboratory for operating glove puppets behind the hut. 10 theaters will be set up with at least 3 chairs per theater, with different studio puppets and some fundamental characteristics for operating them will be revealed to the participants.
➖ Closing the evening was the concert by the well-known singer-songwriter Michele Zarrillo. The singer-songwriter from Centocelle, a neighborhood on the south-eastern outskirts of Rome, voice of “The elephant and the butterfly” has released ten studio albums, two live albums, four collections and participated thirteen times in the Sanremo Festival, one of which saw him as the winner among the Nuove Proposte, in the 1987 edition, with the song “La notte dei pensiero”. Starting from 9.30pm in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. A fireworks display will follow.
