From 26 to 28 April the “Olbia spring cup”, Windsurfer class
For three days, until Sunday, Olbia will be invaded by colored boards and sails for the “Olbia spring cup“, windsurfer class. After the enormous success of the 2021 Italian Championships, the show of the Windsurfer class returns to Olbia with the “Olbia Spring Cup”. Scheduled from 26 to 28 April in the splendid setting of the beach “The shark” by Pittulongu.
The event is organized by Nautical Clubwith the support of Municipality of Olbia and the Italian Sailing Federation. With the precious contribution of the sponsors and the many members who are materially giving a hand for the best success of this event.
“I always enthusiastically welcome the programming of events that encourage the practice of sport and at the same time promote and enhance our territory”. This is what the Sports Councilor comments: Elena Casu. “Our administration focuses a lot on synergies with local sports associations. In particular, on this occasion, I thank the commitment of the Club which allowed the realization of this beautiful event.”
President Mario Peralda declared “Water sports and sea culture are in the DNA of our partnership. These are initiatives capable of generating value on multiple fronts, characteristics captured with the usual sensitivity by the Municipal Administration and by councilor Elena Casu, whom we thank. Thanks also go to the Windsurfer Class through its local manager Giorgio Spano, for confirming their trust in our organizational capacity by entrusting us with the carrying out of this classic.”
The competing sailors, coming from different nations thanks to the “open” formula, promise to provide an exciting experience for the many enthusiasts of this class and of sailing in general. In fact, spectators will have the opportunity to see some of the best champions of the Windsurfer Class compete in the crystal clear sea of Pittulongu, with the enchanting island of Tavolara in the background. The FIV competition assigned to the organization of the Olbia Nautical Club will take place as mentioned at the Regatta Village set up for the occasion in Pittulongu, on the “Lo Squalo” beach.
The tests scheduled: Friday 26th at 2.30pm first test notice, Saturday 27th at 11.30am first test notice, finally on the last day Sunday 28th at 11am first test notice and 4.00pm awards ceremony.
