The APS Kama initiative

“We want to offer a path of education and growth in nature, where children can experience the outside on a daily basis, integrating new paths and experiences in Nature with normal educational activities, as a place of learning in continuity with classroom activities”.

THE PROJECT. This is the comment of the president of the APS Kama, Brigida Russo, regarding the project of “The crazy people” of Cerignola, promoted by the Department for Family Policies and officially presented on Monday 22 April at the Coworking Web Empire in Piazza Madre Teresa of Calcutta n-47-50. This is a pilot project in Puglia, which involves the testing of an interesting model of “integrated education in Nature”. The teachers and the Headmaster of the “Di Vittorio-Padre Pio” Comprehensive Institute Maria Luisa Russo have planned the activities that will begin shortly.

OPEN AIR EXCHANGE. “Our association – continues Brigida Russo – began carrying out permaculture and environmental sustainability activities with small groups of children in May 2020, on land located about four kilometers from the town of Cerignola”. A direct experience of learning and open air exchange, therefore, with the coordination of experts in permaculture, clay and ceramic processing, artistic and creative recycling, workshops and animated reading, natural nutrition, herbal workshops.

MORE BENEFITS. “The innovation of the ‘I zazzirelli’ project consists in the harmonious integration that it intends to achieve between two parallel systems – added the president – the traditional school system and the alternative one (made up of schools set in natural contexts managed privately and also quite expensive), to offer all children the opportunity to attend a complete school with greater learning opportunities and greater benefits. We are certain that working in synergy with state schools is the most effective way to walk together sharing the same objectives”.
