NOTEWORTHY. Four cars and a van burned down last night along State Road 150 in Notaresco, and the flames also spread to the warehouse of a shop. What prevented the worst was the prompt intervention, shortly after midnight, of a team of firefighters from the Teramo Command and one from the Roseto degli Abruzzi Detachment.
The fire affected four cars and a van parked under an external roof. These were a BMW Series 2, a Mercedes E-Class and a Mazda 6, which were completely destroyed, as well as a Land Rover Discovery which was partially set on fire and a Fiat Doblò which only suffered damage due to the strong heat developed by the flames.
The intervention of the firefighters in Notaresco
The fire caused the collapse of some portions of the asbestos roofing of the canopy and also spread to the nearby warehouse of a health products shop where the walls and attic were blackened.
The firefighters, who arrived on site with two fire engines, a tanker and two off-road vehicles with a fire-fighting module, quickly put out the flames, preventing them from spreading to the entire commercial premises.
The Carabinieri from Cellino Attanasio, Notaresco and Giulianova are also on site and are investigating the causes of the fire.
