The Flying Squad of the Bari Police Headquarters has carried out a precautionary custody order in prison against a 62-year-old criminal from Bari, with judicial precedents for mafia-style criminal association, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms . This is a subject of considerable criminal caliber, believed to be contiguous to the “Parisi” clan, whose figure had emerged as part of the well-known “Internal Code” judicial police operation, carried out by the State Police, which led to the arrest, last February, of 137 individuals, believed to be close to the “Parisi/Palermiti” mafia-type clique. The execution of the judicial measure represents the direct consequence of a detailed crime report, filed by the Flying Squad, with the Public Prosecutor’s Office with which the profoundly anti-legal and illegal behavior carried out had been crystallized and documented by the criminal, despite being under house arrest. Among the subjects who, over the previous months, “frequented” the 62-year-old’s house, the figure of a well-known lawyer from Bari, former councilor of the Puglia Region, arrested as part of the “Internal Code” operation also stands out. The visits of the former politician from Bari to the man were apparently aimed at proposing financial investments, which were clearly illicit and fraudulent.
