“The Resistance is crazy bullshit”. A banner that mimics the exploits of the accountant Ugo Fantozzi by Paolo Villaggio returns to outrage the ANPI headquarters in via Ciro Menotti in Legnano on the night of April 25th, as it had already happened a year ago. This time, however, together with the insults, in front of the headquarters of the city section of the National Partisans Association a lot of manure was also “dumped”..
«It’s not the first time this has happened – comments Primo Minelli, former president of ANPI Legnano and now provincial president of the association -. It is a provocation, but it is also a political message: there is a political part that does not recognize itself in the values of Freedom of April 25th and wait for Liberation Day to implement these gestures.”
Legnano, meanwhile, is preparing to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the Liberation. The celebrations will start at 10am with the laying of the wreath at the monument to the partisans of Largo Tosi. Then, at 10.30, the official ceremony in Piazza San Magno. At the end the procession will parade towards the Corso Magenta cemetery, where there will be the laying of wreaths at the chapel of the fallen of the Second World War and at the Partisan Camp and the blessing of the tombs. Finally, at 4pm, the concert of the Legnanese band at the oratory of SS. Magi.
