The city of Vittoria also proposes to increase the Tari. To the extent of 8 percent, lower than what happens in other municipalities, such as in nearby Comiso, where the increase was approved three weeks ago and is 28 percent.
In Comiso, the increase in the tax on municipal solid waste was approved by a majority, with the centre-right voting in favor and the centre-left voting against.
In Vittoria, the roles are reversed. The groups that support the current administration (civic groups or groups partly linked to the left) have expressed a favorable opinion and said they are ready to vote on the provision requested by the council. The opposition councilors (right, center and civic groups) declared in the chamber that they would vote against. The vote against was announced in the chamber by Monia Cannata and Pippo Scuideri, of Fratelli d’Italia.
