Castagna: “Now Cremona has an airport with a capital L”

L’Cremona airport restarts the engines and does so with a track that reaches the 800 meters. From the first day the members ofCremona Aeroclub they returned to flying after the stop due to the works. Great satisfaction from the president Angelo Castagna: “A very important event, which we have been waiting for for 50 years and finally today we can celebrate”.

The track today for coordination problems with the bodies is usable for 650 meters. In the next few months all the bureaucratic procedures will be completed and then it will be communicated that the runway is officially 800 metres. “To date it is unofficially” the president tells us smiling.

An intervention that of extending the runway to serve all citizens, financed by private individuals. “Having an 800 meter runway means that we are no longer the shortest airport in Italy, it means having more safety for those who fly, students and users. It means having more performance, having a runway that is better suited to aeronautical tourism, which can be developed for the benefit of the city. It means one day being able to bring an air taxi service here and which can guarantee a service to entrepreneurs, to the tourism office, rather than to the Fair body. The same pilots who come from other airports, accustomed to other runways in Cremona, came reluctantly. Cremona now has an airport with a capital A” declares Castagna.
