“Too many road accidents”, an Observatory in the Prefecture of Trapani to combat them

Chaired by Prefect Daniela Lupo, the first plenary meeting of theObservatory for monitoring road accidents and for identifying and adopting measures to prevent and combat the main causes of accidents in the province of Trapani.

The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Traffic Police of Trapani, the representatives of the Police Force, the Commanders of the local Police together with the representatives of the bodies that own and manage the road arteries. On this occasion, the Commander of the Traffic Police illustrated the new application prepared by the Ministry of the Interior and the Prefect invited us to continue with the timely insertion of data which will form the basis for the operation of the Observatory, as well as to identify and define strategies of more effective prevention and contrast both with reference to the most affected road networks and to risky driving behavior and for the launch of information campaigns aimed at road users. Punctual and specific meetings of the Observatory will follow in relation to the areas most affected by road accidents.
