They shot at a car in which there was one of their acquaintances, who fortunately remained unharmed

They shot at a car with an acquaintance on board. This morning the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company carried out a precautionary order. The Preliminary Investigation Judge of the Court of Nola issued the precautionary measure, at the request of the local Prosecutor’s Office. Two brothers, both residents of Massa di Somma, ended up in handcuffs.

The two suspects are seriously suspected of the crimes of possession and carrying of a common firearm in a public place. Specifically, in the first days of April they allegedly fired a gunshot – with a pistol – at the address of a car, near a popular complex. On board the car was an acquaintance of theirs, who remained unharmed. After the incident, the two brothers under investigation apparently fled on a scooter.

The victim, who had fled after the shot exploded, fearing for his safety, asked the police for help.

The Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Operations Section conducted the investigations with their colleagues from the San Sebastiano a Vesuvio station. The investigative activities made it possible to promptly shed light on the exact dynamics of the facts, gathering serious indications of guilt against the suspects, thanks also to the testimonies provided by the victim’s family members.

Those arrested, in consideration of the serious facts in dispute, were sent to prison, at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

The measures carried out are precautionary measures, ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted. The recipients are people subjected to investigations and, as such, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
