Viterbo – We receive and publish – “25 April, in Italy there is still a war to fight, a resistance to make and a Liberation to achieve. And it’s the one from deaths at work.” This was declared by the general secretary of Uila Viterbo, the agricultural workers’ union, Antonio Biagioli.

“Liberation Day is a fundamental and sacred moment in the life of the Republic and Italian democracy – continues Biagioli -. A day in which the memory of the partisan struggle against Nazi-fascism and the end of the fascist dictatorship is renewed. Just as the promise is renewed to continue to fight always and in any case against every form of oppression, fascism, exploitation and for peace”.
“April 25 – continues Biagioli – is also the day on which we must openly say that the deaths at work, 3 a day, every day, are a clear and unbearable violation of the constitution and of all the democratic values that characterize our village. And that as long as there is only one death due to work, in a Republic founded on work, then there will be no Liberation. Not all the way.”
