Great anticipation for the 23rd edition of the Giarre – Milo Slalom

May 5th marks the return of the historic Slalom Giarre – Milo, arousing considerable interest after the success of the previous year. The Automobile Club Acireale, in collaboration with the Asd Scuderia Giarre Corse and with the patronage of the Municipalities of Giarre and Milo, carefully prepares the twenty-third edition of this motoring event. The route, approximately 3 kilometers long and characterized by 12 barriers, is the subject of cleaning and safety operations in view of the races scheduled for 4 and 5 May. Slalom is not a competition of speed, but of dexterity, requiring drivers to demonstrate skill in avoiding pins along the course, with each fall carrying a ten-second penalty.

The Giarre – Milo Slalom, valid for the Aci Sport South Italian Slalom Trophy, recorded a record number of registrations last year, 123, confirming itself as one of the most popular events on the national scene. The victory was obtained by Emanuele Schillace from Messina, on a Radical SR4 Suzuki, followed by the home champion Michele Puglisi, on a Radical SR4, with a gap of just four thousandths. The podium was completed by Girolamo Ingardia from Mazara, driving the Gloria C8. The checks will be held on Saturday 4 May, while the competitions will take place on Sunday 5 May, divided into a reconnaissance heat and three race heats. The event will be broadcast live on YouTube by the Naxos ProRacing channel, with commentary by Enzo Amoroso, and on the Giesse Produzione Facebook page, with filming and direction by Giuseppe and Salvo Faro.
