A man chases the mugger and recovers his wallet

A mugging against an elderly woman was foiled this morning in Via del Murillo thanks to the intervention of a 37-year-old man who witnessed the robbery and chased the bandit, so much so that he was forced to abandon the stolen goods in order to ensure escape. It happened on the outskirts of the town center of Latina Scalo shortly after 11am when the man, a representative of bar products, saw a stranger tugging at the woman to snatch her wallet from her hands: the witness started chasing the mugger, but when he threw the loot to the ground, he gave up the chase to return the stolen goods to the victim. Meanwhile, the perpetrator of the theft had managed to escape. The unfortunate woman, shocked by what had happened, but unharmed, was then joined by some of her relatives. It’s a shame that none of the witnesses had the time to alert 112, so much so that the police forces did not intervene, remaining unaware of what had happened until the news started circulating on social media: instead of giving the alarm allowing the search for the fugitive to be activated, someone who witnessed the scene preferred to spread the news by sending it to an information portal.
