This morning the provincial command of the financial police handed over two cars that had been seized to the Asti Red Cross.
The vehicles, a Mercedes – Benz, Model CLA 220 CDI 4Matic, subjected to confiscation, following the outcome of the investigations conducted by the Economic and Financial Police Unit as part of a criminal proceeding for crimes relating to narcotic substances and a Jaguar F-PACE , the result of proceeds from illicit activities in the tax and bankruptcy fields, subject to preventive seizure ordered by the Court of Asti in the context of another criminal proceeding, were assigned with orders of the investigating judge at the Court to the Italian Red Cross of Asti for the meritorious activities of the institute.
The delivery meeting which took place in the Aldo Zappa barracks was attended by Antonio G. Garaglio, Provincial Commander of the Asti yellow flames and Stefano Robino President of the Provincial Committee of the Italian Red Cross.
Satisfaction was expressed by the latter for the attention that the Financial Police wanted to pay to the activities of the Red Cross, through the investigative activities carried out under the guidance of the Judicial Authority of Asti, which allowed the assignment to the moral body of two vehicles, which will enrich the association’s fleet and will allow it to respond even more and better to the needs of the territories affected by major critical issues and social and health emergencies.
The initiative confirms, in addition to the concrete action exercised in carrying out economic-financial police tasks for the purpose of attacking assets illicitly accumulated by criminals, also the attention of the Guardia di Finanza to the promotion of support proposals in towards non-profit and charitable bodies engaged in safeguarding life and in the concrete application in humanitarian crisis scenarios of the solidarity principles of civil protection placed at the basis of the Italian Constitution.
