The coach of Hungary Marco Rossi spoke to Teleclubitalia of his future and the choice of Francesco Calzona to carry out the double role as technical commissioner of Slovakia and coach of Napoli: “I have a contract with the Hungarian federation until December 2025, but as the president said he would like me to stop here until the end of my career and that I would then be a special advisor in the federation. I feel very appreciated and well-liked, which is why I see no reason to change.”
Calzona’s choice?
“I think that the possibility of a double role is something possible, I have my doubts when the championship is of a high level like the Italian one, so it is possible to do it like Calzona did for a few months but no more, a double role is more possible if you coach a national team and some clubs involved in some less competitive league”.
Is his future in Italy possible?
“I haven’t had any calls from Serie A but other interesting offers that aren’t moving forward from the Premier League, but after the journey made with Hungary it didn’t seem right to leave, now I had an offer in December but it didn’t seem appropriate to think about it before playing the European Championship.
The future of the Napoli bench?
“I see Italiano as a good fit for the Napoli bench. I often read in the newspapers that Italiano’s name is being linked to the Napoli bench for next season, and I think it would be a good choice.”
