“The reflection of concrete gestures” is the title of the annual event dedicated to the sustainability projects of the CAVIRO Group, this year in collaboration with the Mic International Ceramics Museum which hosts, in addition to the permanent collection, the exhibition of over 200 works created by the inventor of “Made in Italy”, the great Gio Ponti.

“You learn things made with your hands. Nothing that isn’t in your hands first” is the famous quote from the Italian architect and designer who not only embodies the value of know-how, but also perfectly reflects the tangible commitment, the reflection of the concrete gestures of the Caviro Group towards people, the supply chain and the environment. The event, introduced by a performance by the Romagna artist Paolo Cevoli, exceptional host and moderator, saw the participation of several voices and interventions: among the guests, the journalist and Head of Sustainability Will Media Mattia Battagion, the Director of the Studies Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna Guido Caselli and the General Director of Confcooperative Fabiola Di Loreto.

During the event, the Group’s new Manifesto was presented “The circle of the vine“, which summarizes the cooperative’s model of perfect economic circularity, reinterpreted to illustrate the Group’s commitment to its CO2 footprint2 and the carbon assessment process. In fact, the calculation of CO emissions has been revealed2 – Scope 1, 2, 3 – of the entire Group (Faenza, Forlì, Savignano sul Panaro and Fumane), together with the goals achieved in 2023 and the further commitment to meeting the SDGs objectives of the UN Agenda 2030.

Carlo Dalmonte, President of the CAVIRO Group, declares: “Today it is crucial to aim for a concrete ecological transition. It is up to us and the entire supply chain that we represent to spread good practices and concrete actions aimed at regenerative development, a greater vision. This is why we decided to account for our carbon assessment, the first necessary step towards defining decarbonisation strategies to act and trigger positive change”.

The Group stands out, at a national and international level, as a precursor of a continuously evolving circular economy model “From Vineyard to Vineyard”: a virtuous circle that eliminates the concept of waste starting from the vineyard, where every raw material is considered a precious resource, processed and transformed into a new natural ingredient to be put back into circulation, a cycle that unites man and the environment, grapes and land, the present and the future.
