Michael Folorunsho, Hellas Verona midfielder, was awarded by ‘Chiamarsi Bomber’, an Instagram page, with the Rookie of the Month Award, given to him after the users’ votes. The Italian then spoke about his season like this, starting from the wonderful goal he scored against Juventus in the match which ended with a score of 2-2: “It was also instinct, the ball was coming down to the edge of the area and on those occasions something needs to be done to prevent the opposing team from recovering the ball and starting a restart. For this reason I thought about shooting and it went well.”
Rome and its surroundings are a hotbed of talent. How come?
“I grew up playing football in the street with friends and I’m very happy with my path. There are many talents in Italy, you have to be good at spotting them.”
Great season in Serie A and Spalletti’s call up to the national team. When did you realize something was changing?
“In reality, everything happened quickly, I didn’t even have time to realize. I want to finish the season with Hellas Verona in the best way, we still have a goal to achieve and we’re giving it our all.”

“No, now is a delicate moment for Hellas Verona, every match is a final and I’m focused on the goal of survival.”
