Tony Colombo remains in prison, the neo-musician arrested by the Carabinieri with his wife Tina Rispoli on charges of external complicity in a mafia association last 17 October: the judges of the Court of Cassation they in fact rejected the appeal presented by the singer.
According to the fifth section of the Supreme Court, between Tony Colombo and his wife Tina Rispoli «there is total sharing of intentions. These are subjects who, although not permanently belonging to a mafia family, are included in the criminal dynamics of the Scampia-Secondigliano clans”, furthermore “there is an extreme danger deduced from the ongoing and constant inclusion in illicit contexts”.
«For years – declares the deputy of the Green Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli – we fought almost in total solitude against the system of Tony Colombo and his wife Tina Rispoli, widow of a Camorra member with whom she was married for over 18 years and had several children. For years we have denounced the connections between these individuals and the Neapolitan Camorra that too many pretended not to see. They were even publicly celebrated. Now the facts are proving us right but how much damage has been done to society by bringing these two individuals into social models. While we fought the system, some celebrated the deeds of disturbing figures. The judiciary did well to intervene clearly without being intimidated.”
