Bad and sad episode for a player who passed through Cagliari: Pablo Ceppelini hit in the head by a knife

An unlucky past at Cagliari and an equally unsmiling present for Pablo Ceppelini. The Uruguayan midfielder played for the rossoblù between the 2010/11 and 2012/13 seasons: 13 total appearances in between (3 as a starter and 10 as a substitute). Now in Colombia, Ceppelini wears the number 10 of theAtletico Nacional. Unfortunately, during the long-awaited Medellin derby against the Deportivo IndependienteCeppelini was hit by a knife thrown from the stands, as we learn from The Last Man which reports the words of the footballer himself:

THE EPISODE – «It was a corner kick in the last minutes of the match. A lot of objects rained on me, I felt as if something exploded in my head. When I got to the locker room they told me it was a knife. It’s a shame because football is a celebration, but in this type of match you’re used to it.”
