The announcement was made today (Wednesday 24 April 2024) by Interior Minister Piantedosi during the question time in the Chamber.
“It is very positive news, which the city welcomes with great favor, because the Judicial, Administrative and Investigative Police School has been firmly connected to our urban fabric since 1974 – declared the mayor Castelletti – When the hypothesis of a possible transfer, perhaps to Montichiari, many had decided to make their voices heard and I, as mayor, even after a discussion with the representatives of the local police forces and the Chief of Police Pisani, last December, had summarized this feeling shared with a public appeal to the minister, who evidently understood the importance that such an institution has for a municipality like ours”.
An important point of reference for the area
“Polgai is currently perfectly inserted in the context of via Veneto and represents an important point of reference for the area, also given the large number of young people from all over Italy (it is the only school in the national territory, in addition to Pescara) who spends the training period. It also provides fundamental services, including the use of the shooting range, which is also used by the Local Police of the Municipality of Brescia, and the canteen, which is used by other public sectors such as the Traffic Police , the Financial Police and the Carabinieri Command”.
